Briefly in education
More than 100 juniors and seniors at Corona del Mar High School will
get the academic equivalent of a varsity letter today.
Just as students receive a letter for sports, the best and the
brightest at Corona del Mar are honored with academic letter awards.
A presentation and reception will be held for the students at 10 a.m.
in the girls’ gymnasium.
To qualify for an academic letter, students must have a 3.7 cumulative
grade-point average in the spring and be in “good standing.” Students
must also have taken at least three college preparatory classes each
semester.
Seniors who are eligible and who received a letter in their junior
year will be given additional recognition.
