Pet of the week

Chance, a 2-year-old male corgi-golden retriever mix, is available for

adoption through the Newport Beach-based Community Animal Network.

The playful dog has been professionally trained by Valerie Pollard,

who will provide two in-home training sessions to the adopting family.

Chance and other rescued dogs and cats may be seen from noon to 4 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays at Russo’s Pet Experience at Fashion Island in

Newport Beach.

The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal

organization linking people and pets through community action. Other
