The Newport Beach City Council is looking for residents interested in
serving on city boards and commissions. A total of eight seats will
become vacant when existing terms expire June 30.
Open seats include one spot as a member of the board of library
trustees, three arts commissioner positions, two parks, beaches and
recreation commissioners and two planning commissioners.
The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. May 16. Council members will nominate
two residents for each vacancy on June 12 and make appointments on June
26. All appointments will be effective July 1.
Application forms can be obtained from the city clerk’s office at 3300
Newport Blvd., or via fax or mail by calling (949) 644-3005. The forms
and information about the positions can also be found on the city’s Web
site at o7 www.city.newport-beach.ca.usf7 .
