Prep softball: CdM shuts out Estancia

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar sophomore Alissa Zoelle pitched a

two-hitter and struck out six to lead the Sea Kings’ softball team to a

7-0 Pacific Coast League victory over visiting Estancia Tuesday.

CdM senior Taylor McCormick went 2 for 2, including an RBI triple in

the fourth inning. She scored sophomore Meaghan Bunney, who also went 2

for 2. Senior Elese Freedman finished with two RBIs for the Sea Kings

(2-1, 7-5 in league).

Estancia fell to 0-3.

CdM will host University Thursday, at 3:15 p.m.
