Boys golf: Mesa falls to University

COSTA MESA - The Costa Mesa High boys golf team dropped a 192-201

Pacific Coast League decision to University Tuesday afternoon at the

Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda Course.

Bryce Sheridan shot a 3-under par, 32 to lead the Mustangs (3-10, 0-7

in league). After a double bogey on the first hole, he eagled the second

and birdied three of the next seven holes.

Other Mesa scores included Billy Lund (38), Steve Whittaker (41),

Michael Gardiner (42) and Devon Stevens (48).

The Mustangs will take on Northwood at Oak Creek Golf Course on

Thursday, beginning at 2 p.m.
