NJB: Fourth-grade squad reaches national tournament

LONG BEACH - The Newport-Mesa fourth grade National Junior

Basketball all-star team competed last weekend at the National

Championship tournament at the Pyramid.

A total of 32 teams from as far away as Hawaii competed at the event

and despite Newport-Mesa’s 1-3 record, the coaching staff and parents

involved with the squad was proud of the team’s effort.
