RETAIL ROUNDUP

The theme this week: Big envelopes.

The Reynolds Kitchen News Bureau (several of us have sent our resumes)

mailed out a notice about the “wonderful year of dazzling color from

Reynolds Plastic Wrap in Colors and Prints and The Reynolds Kitchen!”

Held up to the light, the baker’s dozen slides that are included

indeed look tasty. We’re particularly partial to the water fun cake and

the frosty snowmen, even if they’re a little early in the season.

Unfortunately, we have to keep the recipes and complete details

secret. But others more willing to depart with that precious information

probably can be reached at (800) 929-086.

Cleaning out the garbage

The other big envelope of the week, and this one in canary yellow no

less, came courtesy Hoover, which kindly reminded us: “Work is high

stress. The kids need help with school and activities. And the house is a

mess.”

Thanks for bringing us down. How could it get any worse?

Oh, super. It’s spring cleaning time. Thanks for reminding us of that,

Hoover.

The good news is that we are urged to buy the best home cleaning

equipment we can. Using our well-trained deductive reasoning, we’re

guessing Hoover means Hoover. And sure enough, they’ve made advances in

vacuum technology, just in time.

Hey, we’re just fooling. We keep our homes, our desks and our cars

sparklingly clean 365 days a year.
