Deanna Robinson Interiors, Inc. . . . Sara Stabe has been named as Costa
Mesa-based Vanguard University’s Outstanding Service recipient for March
2001. . . .Amanda R. Cole, daughter of Kimberly Cole of Corona del Mar,
recently earned high honors for the winter term at Phillips Exeter
Academy in New Hampshire. Amanda is a junior at the independent boarding
school. . . . Chardonee Mota, a junior at Costa Mesa High School,
recently received a scholarship from the Girls Incorporated National
Scholar program. Mota, 14, is one of 15 girls nationally who have been
awarded the $10,000 scholarship to pursue higher education. . . . The
Corona del Mar High School PTA Founder’s Day Tea recently honored six
individuals for their outstanding service to children, schools and the
community. They are Kathy Hath, Candy Light-Martinez, Richard Hancock,
Janet Brown, Suzi Thatcher and Donald Martin. . . . Orange Coast College
will induct Daniel G. Amen, a Newport Beach neuropsychiatrist, Harold
Burch, a New York designer and Mary Hornbuckle, former Costa Mesa mayor,
into its Alumni Hall of Fame at the end of April. . . . Balboa
Instruments, Inc., president David J. Cline was recently honored at Cal
State Fullerton’s 2001 Vision & Visionaries gala at the Disneyland Hotel
for being a distinguished alumni. Cline is a Newport Beach resident. . .
. Julie Eklund has been appointed the volunteer manager for the Costa
Mesa-based Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Orange County
Affiliate. . . . Orange Coast College’s Associated Students will honor

The Vanguard University Concert Choir and Orchestra will perform at
Carnegie Hall in New York in May. . . . Eileen P. Taylor of Newport Beach
