The Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club junior board is holding a regatta to
benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on May 20.
Classes that can participate in the race include: Sabot A, B, C1, C2,
C3, CFJ, Laser, Lido 14, Harbor 20’s and any other class with four boats.
The race will be governed by the 1997-2000 racing rules of sailing,
the prescriptions of U.S. Sailing, the rules of each class, except as any
of these are altered by the sailing instructions. Instructions will be
available at the club by May 18 at 10 a.m.
On the day of the regatta, registration at the club will begin at 8:30
a.m. and last until 9:30 a.m. A skipper’s meeting is scheduled for 10
a.m. and first warning is given at 11:30 a.m.
The racing area is the Newport Harbor Turning Basin. Entry fee is $5
per boat and packed lunches are available for $5. There will be a buffet
