Braves belt Yankees, 9-1

Keegan Grebe hit his first home run of the year Saturday and also

threw three scoreless innings to notch a victory in leading the Braves

over the Yankees 9-1, in Robinwood Little League Majors Division action.

Grebe also had another hit and an RBI, Todd Locken had two hits,

including an RBI double and pitched the final three innings, striking out

six. Braves catcher DJ Huber also had two hits, Kevin Radle had an RBI

single and outfielder David Delaney made an outstanding catch to prevent

the Yankees from scoring further.

Minor A Division

Angels 10, Rockies 1

Wesley Lightman pitched a complete game, giving up only two hits, and

also figured in the Angels’ offensive production with a 3 for 3

performance. Teammate Brandon Visnoski keyed the offense with three hits

and a walk.

For the Rockies, Kevin Doran went 2 for 2.

HUNTINGTON VALLEY LITTLE LEAGUE

Minor A Division

Cardinals 3, Mets 2

Tim Higgins pitched a complete game three-hitter and Nick Mazzone and

Robbie Joyner each had two hits to lead the Cardinals; Alex Meneses

pitched four shutout innings and Cole Carden, Sean Riemer and Kasey

Crandall had the three hits for the Mets.
