Dan Allbritton of Salem, Ore. has been awarded the 2001 Distinguished

Service Award by the Alumni Assn. of Vanguard University.

The award recognizes Allbritton’s contributions and service to his

community and the music industry.

Allbritton, a 1972 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in music, is a

member of the popular “Regents” quartet, which formed while he was a

student at Southern California College, Vanguard University’s previous

name.

He went on to graduate from Columbia School of broadcasting in 1975

and has hosted music and talk shows heard on KOCM in Newport Beach. He

has also hosted other radio shows in Oregon and Texas and has been an

extra in a number of feature films.

Allbritton serves as a marketing consultant for KCCS-AM radio in

Salem. He is the president of Spiritwind Records Inc. in Salem and

Allbritton Music Company based in Los Angeles.
