Blackouts rout Blue Lightning, 12-2

The South Huntington Beach Blackouts collected its second win in as

many games last weekend by defeating the Blue Lightning, 12-2, in a South Huntington Beach Girls’ Fastpitch Softball 12-and-Under contest.

Josie Flores finished with two doubles and three runs batted in, and

Emily Carr had three singles to top the Blackouts on offense. Allison

Wyman had a two-RBI double, Shannon Peterson hit a two-RBI single, Loryn

Kanemaru singled and doubled with an RBI, Kimi Thompson had two singles,

Hilary Pool had an RBI, and Amanda Gayle and Cassie Wright each singled

to complete the attack.

Pool and Flores also worked the pitching mound to allow just one walk,

five hits and two runs, while striking out seven.
