INSIDE SCOOP
-- Compiled by the Daily Pilot staff
We’ve never doubted that Newport Beach’s Vice Mayor Tod Ridgeway has
top job potential. But while we’ll have to wait at least until next year
to see him in the mayor’s seat, a letter we recently received at the
Pilot made us realize that he’s preparing for the role in more ways than
one.
Ridgeway, also known as Chief Running Water of the Naranja Nation’s
Mojave Indian Princess Tribe, has been leading his 28 subjects and
recently entertained many of them at his mountain getaway in Lake
Arrowhead. Madison “Hummingbird,” Ridgeway’s 6-year-old daughter,
co-hosted the event.
In the YMCA sponsored dad-daughter organization, Ridgeway said his
role was simply to make the little girls happy.
“It’s so much fun to see their eyes get so big,” he said.
Well, we’ll have to wait and see how Ridgeway’s chief experience will
translate to the mayor’s seat. Until then, we’d just like to take a
moment and thank his princesses for their thoughtfulness to bring a Daily
Pilot copy along the way.
