SPOTLIGHT
FERRAGAMO FASHION SHOW
The House of Salvatore Ferragamo has come a long way from shoes, a
fact that will be firmly reestablished Wednesday, when the Italian design
company gives an exclusive West Coast showing of its 2001 spring and
summer collection in Newport Beach.
The splashy fashion show, organized by The Guilds of the Orange County
Performing Arts Center, will mark the first time that Ferragamo has
presented a full season collection in Orange County. Such events are
generally reserved for the New York and Los Angeles circuits.
Proceeds from the event, which includes a champagne reception and
luncheon, will benefit the Center. Rosemarie Kramer will chair the
massive show and luncheon, which will also honor Margrite Biever Mondavi,
a friend of the arts world.
