1. Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Balding of Costa Mesa have announced the

engagement of their daughter Nicole Balding to John Greene.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder

and Estancia High School. She was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta

Sorority in college.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Farmer of London,

England, and Mr. Mike Greene of Springfield, Miss. He graduated from

Southwest Missouri State University and Glendale High School. He was

affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity in college.

An August wedding is planned at the Mesa Verde United Methodist Church

in Costa Mesa.

2. Mr. and Mrs. David Barry Bray of Corona del Mar announce the

engagement of their daughter Heather Alison Bray to Jordan Tyler Porter.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where she majored

in sociology. She also graduated from Corona del Mar High School. She was

affiliated with Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority in college.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mrs. Patrick Allen Porter and the late

Mr. Patrick Allen Porter of Redmond, Wash. He graduated from UC Santa

Barbara with a major in English. He also graduated from Centralia High

School in Bakersfield. He was affiliated with Beta Theta Pi Fraternity in

college and works now as a special events coordinator at Mar Borg in

Santa Barbara.

An April wedding is planned at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic

Church in Newport Beach.
