Prep softball: Mesa ‘Topps’ Saints

SANTA ANA - Costa Mesa High sophomore Ann Marie Topps belted a

grand slam to help the visiting Mustangs earn a 9-7 nonleague win at

Santa Ana Thursday.

Topps’ fourth-inning bomb put the visitors up, 7-3, but they needed

two more runs to improve to 4-0.

Mesa junior Tess Lindsay got her fourth win in as many decisions,

while Jamie Klimkiewicz and Katy Renish each had a pair of RBIs for the

winners.
