AT ISSUE: The city of Huntington Beach is considering renovating the
defunct Pacifica Hospital and Tower and turning it into a new senior
citizen center.
I feel that another senior center in Huntington Beach would be a
wonderful idea (“City looks at Pacifica as possible senior center,” March
1). We do not do enough for our senior citizens, they seem to be a
forgotten group.
They have worked hard to reach this stage of their lives and now many
of them must struggle with numerous issues. They deserve not only
additional facilities, but also other expanded services and programs
(transportation, health care, etc.). PAULETTE DEWIRE

We do not want another (additional) senior center, we need an expanded
senior center to accommodate the needs of the seniors who go there for
meals, clubs, etc.

Huntington Beach does need an expanded senior center.

It’s a good idea. I’d like to see more articles and get more support.
Our senior center is getting a little overcrowded.
Time will tell if this will be the new spot or not.

Huntington Beach does need a bigger and wider senior center.
