COSTA MESA
* Avocado Street: A wallet and its contents, worth a total of $374,
was stolen from a white, two-door, 2000 Ford Ranger parked in the 400
block. The vehicle burglary occurred between 7:40 p.m. March 1 and 4:30
a.m. Friday.
* Gannet Drive: A plant and plant cart, together valued at $30, were
reported stolen from a patio in the 2700 block at 1:49 p.m. Friday.
* Hamilton Street and Harbor Boulevard: A 47-year-old man was arrested
at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of committing battery on his
girlfriend.
* Harbor Boulevard: A 41-year-old man was arrested in the 2700 block
at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of battering and assaulting a police
officer.
NEWPORT BEACH
* 30th Street: Someone allegedly drilled into coin boxes at a
laundermat in the 200 block at 3 p.m. Tuesday, stealing about $300 in
quarters and causing $100 in damage.
* 32nd Street and Newport Boulevard: A woman was arrested on suspicion
of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs at 11:50 p.m. Monday.
Bail was set at $2,500.
* 40th Street: Someone allegedly poured an unknown type of oily
substance on the front porch of a home in the 100 block at 3:15 p.m.
Monday.
