will quite compare to seeing the little ones read.
You’ll get a chance today as students in the Newport-Mesa Unified
School District join in the national celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
Today is the fourth annual Read Across America Day.
The National Education Assn. asks that everyone -- teachers,
administrators, students, parents and other community members -- put
reading first today.
Last year, the event involved more than 30 million readers, both young
and old. Officials with the education association hope to see that number
grow this year.
