COSTA MESA - Justin Dale, a sophomore wide receiver on the Orange
Coast College football team, has signed a letter of intent to play for
Southwest Missouri State, according to Pirates Coach Mike Taylor.
Dale caught 41 passes for 666 yards, helping the Pirates share the
Mission Conference Central Division title last year.
Dale’s 61 career receptions ranks him eighth all time on OCC’s record
book, while is 41 catches last year ranks 10th for one season.
Included in those receptions was an 81-yard touchdown catch against
Pasadena City College on Oct. 17, 2000, the third-longest reception in
school history.
To show his diversity, Dale also finished his OCC career with a
quarterback rating of 500.2. He was 2 of 2 passing for 55 yards and one
touchdown. Dale also carried the ball 10 times for 109 yards and a
touchdown.
