COSTA MESA
* Harbor Boulevard: Embezzlement was reported in the 2400 block at
4:52 p.m.
* Harbor Boulevard: A car stereo, navigation equipment and an
amplifier worth $4,198 were stolen from a locked 2000 gray Honda Accord
parked at a repair lot in the 2800 block, it was reported at 8:30 a.m.
Jan. 29.
* Harbor Boulevard and Merrimac Way: A man, 19, was arrested because
of an outstanding warrant at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
* Harbor Boulevard and West Wilson Street: Deputies arrested a
32-year-old man on suspicion of selling narcotics at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Seashore: A backpack, a pair of Gucci sunglasses, makeup and a purse
worth $155 were stolen from a locked vehicle in a city parking lot in the
700 block, it was reported at 7 a.m. Wednesday. The front right window of
the vehicle was smashed.
* 28th Street: The hood of a vehicle in the 100 block was scratched,
possibly with a key, between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday. The
vandalism was reported at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday.
