Women’s tennis: Pirates take care of Cuyamaca

SAN DIEGO - The Orange Coast College women’s tennis started its
season on the right note with a 7-1 nonconference win over host Cuyamaca.
Veronica Sommer and Merin Yoshida each led the way with strong play,
both in singles and doubles, according to Coach Janice Maran.
The Pirates will open their home schedule against Santa Barbara City
on Tuesday, beginning at 2 p.m.
