Motocross: Fund raiser to be held at Hooters
NEWPORT BEACH - Hooters Restaurant in Newport Beach will host a
silent auction for paralyzed motocross racer Tony Haynes tonight,
beginning at 7 p.m.
Haynes, a promising young rider from the east coast, was injured in a
motorcycle accident at the age of 14 and has been confined to a
wheelchair ever since.
Available prizes for auction include products from Oakley, LIQ
Clothing, Three Brothers Racing, Hydrosoul, Etnies, and Fleshwound Films.
Racers Tim Ferry, Ezra Lusk and Kevin Windham will be at the function
and will be available for autographs.
Ferry, Windham and Lusk, as well as fellow riders Jeremy McGrath,
Ricky Carmichael and Travis Pastrana have donated their pro jerseys,
which will also be available at the auction.
Hooters is located at 2406 Newport Blvd. and the auction will take
place until approximately 11 p.m.
