Girls water polo: CdM romps, 18-1

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High sophomore Danielle Carlson led

six Sea King scorers with six goals in a 18-1 nonleague girls water polo

romp over visiting Mission Viejo Tuesday.

Christina Hewko, Heather Hapeman and Daniela DiGiacomo added three

goals apiece for the winners, while Lindsey Daley added two and Jessica

Fries tallied one.

Mission Viejo scored in the third quarter, when the Sea Kings

collected eight goals.

Jessica Wells and Vanessa Hill combined for three saves for CdM.

The Sea Kings, who hosts Estancia in a Pacific Coast League contest

today at 3:15, improved to 10-9.
