TODAY
The T-Birds and Pink Ladies have taken over the stage. The Musical
Theater Academy of Orange County will present “Grease” at the Costa Mesa
High School Theater at 7 p.m. today, 3 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Jan. 20 and 3
p.m. Jan. 21. The high school is at 2650 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. $9 or

SUNDAY
A musical retrospective. “Songs from the Last Turn of the Century,” a
free musical featuring songs from the 1890s and early 20th century, will
be held at 3 p.m. in the Newport Beach Central Library’s Friends Meeting

MONDAY
Swing-start your week. Birraporetti’s offers swing music by the
12-piece Don Miller Orchestra at 8 p.m. Mondays at South Coast Plaza,

TUESDAY
Take an exotic tour. Speaker Bruno Ledwin, co-founder of the Latin
American Jewish group Hebraica, joins vocalist Bonita Jaros and
accompanist John Bilezikjian from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for “Spain, Latin
America and the Sephardic Tradition.” This is part of the Passport
Series, presented by the Jewish Community Center, 250 E. Baker St., Costa
Mesa. The program features ethnic food, entertainment and a lecture.

WEDNESDAY
A foreign treat. The Dresden Staatskapelle orchestra will perform the
music of Beethoven and Strauss at 8 p.m. at the Orange County Performing
