Girls water polo: CdM scores and scores, 19-4

DANA POINT - The Corona del Mar High girls water polo team closed

out nonleague play Tuesday with a 19-4 victory over host Dana Hills.

CdM sophomores Danielle Carlson and Christina Hewko led the way with

six goals each. CdM sophomore Brittany Bowlus added four goals, while

Alexa Miller, Daniela DiGiacomo and Lindsey Daley scored one each.

Miller led the defense with four steals. Carlson and Hewko each had

three steals. Goalie Jessica Wells finished with four saves and Vanessa

Hill had three.

The Sea Kings (6-5), No. 8 in Orange County, will open Pacific Coast

League action at Laguna Beach today at 3 p.m.
