COSTA MESA

Balearic Drive: A car burglary was reported in the 1900 block between

5:45 and 10 p.m. Thursday. The right rear window was smashed in, and

$1,140 worth of baseball gear and radio equipment was stolen.

Pomona Avenue: A home burglary was reported in the 1700 block shortly

after 2 a.m. Friday. The residents, who were home, heard a window break

downstairs. Nothing was stolen.

West Baker Street: A petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 3:30

p.m. Sunday.

NEWPORT BEACH

Irvine Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 800 block between 8

p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The owner of a Ford Ranger reported

that $3,109 worth of checks were stolen from an unlocked truck.

Milford Drive: A grand theft was reported in the 200 block between 8

p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday after $1,100 worth of clothing was

stolen from an unlocked car.
