The Pacific Chorale Girls Chorus will hold auditions by appointment
only for girls 8 to 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 6. The chorus is
directed by Jean Turrell, a vocal music specialist in the Irvine Unified
School District and former director of education for Pacific Chorale.

OCC to have busy season in 2001
More than 30 shows are on the calendar for Orange Coast College’s
winter and spring performing arts season, arranged by OCC’s Community
Education Office. January events include “Forever Fifties -- Vol. III” at
4 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Robert B. Moore Theatre. The concert will feature
Adrienne Barbeau, The Crew Cuts, The Coasters and the Horace Heidt Jr.
Orchestra. On Jan. 13, “Stars of Magic” will hit the Robert B. Moore
stage at 8 p.m. for its 11th consecutive appearance at OCC.
Internationally renowned dance troupe MOMIX will perform its new show,
“Baseball,” at 4 p.m. Jan. 21 at the theater. Information: (714)

Classes to help make writing your resolution
Calling all storytellers. Orange Coast College’s English Department
will hold several 16-week courses in their Creative Writing curriculum
beginning Jan. 29. Classes include “Introduction to Creative Writing,”
“Short Story Workshop,” “Novel Workshop” and “Scriptwriting.” Spring
