Girls Soccer: Harbor bows, 3-1

SANTA ANA - The Newport Harbor girls soccer team failed on its

quest to upset Capistrano Valley, the No. 2 in Orange County.

The Sailors (5-2-1) lost, 3-1, to the Cougars (6-1) Wednesday in the

first round of the Excalibur Tournament at Foothill High School.

Harbor sophomore Taryn Flamson scored the Tars’ lone goal leading to a

1-1 halftime score. Junior goalkeeper KiIssa Tyler turned back six shots

for the Sailors.
