Coastline joins forces with Navy for classes
Coastline Community College has signed a new partnership agreement
with the U.S. Navy designed to expand and improve voluntary education
opportunities for sailors serving their country.
Recognized for its pioneering distance learning programs, Coastline
has already been providing education opportunities for thousand of
sailors every year. In a recent ceremony at the Navy submarine base in

many of whom were flown in from naval commands in distant locations.
Many courses will be accessed by sailors online via the Internet as

that are independent of time or place constraints.
Donations sought for Coastline scholarships
Coastline Community College is seeking donations for scholarships for
students, such as immigrants facing language and financial handicaps and
single parents. A review of the preliminary list of scholarships
available at Coastline for next year confirms the college’s special
commitment and broad spectrum.
There is no limit to donations and those who donate $100 or more may
choose a title for their scholarship to honor a specific criteria for the
award. Donors also will be invited to a Scholarship Reception Awards
Program in May, where they can meet the recipients and present their
award.
