The holidays are often a time for spiritual reflection. So in that

spirit, here is a list of some of the services and events happening over

the weekend.

FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST SCIENTIST

The First Church of Christ Scientist will hold its regular services at

HARBOR CHRISTIAN CHURCH

A candlelight service with Christmas carols, special music and a time

for everyone to light candles will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at 2401

HARBOR CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

A Christmas Eve service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Harbor

JEWISH FEDERATION OF ORANGE COUNTY

The Young Business & Professionals Division of the Jewish Federation

of Orange County in Costa Mesa, in cooperation with Jewish Community

Center Singles, will hold a Hanukkah party, “Winter Gala Under the

Stars,” from 7 p.m. to midnight Sunday at Orange Hill Restaurant, 6410 E.

LIBERTY BAPTIST CHURCH

“Christmas at the Keyboard” will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Liberty

LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE MASTER

A Christmas Eve service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, with a

candlelight service at 10 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 2900

Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar. A service also will be held at 10

ST. ANDREW’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

A worship service will be held at 5:30 p.m. today and at 10:15 a.m.

Sunday at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport

Beach. Special Christmas Eve services will be held at 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m.

Sunday. A sanctuary choir, brass ensemble and percussion will accompany

ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH

Masses will be held at 5:30 and 8 p.m. Sunday. Midnight Mass will then

follow. On Monday, services will be held at 6:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11

a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The church is at 1964 Orange Ave., Costa

ST. JOHN THE DIVINE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

A Christmas pageant will be held at 10 a.m Sunday at St. John the

Divine Episcopal Church, 183 E. Bay St., Costa Mesa. A midnight Eucharist

ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH

Christmas will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church at 6 p.m. Sunday.

TEMPLE BAT YAHM OF NEWPORT BEACH

Temple Bat Yahm of Newport Beach will light its menorah at 5:30 p.m.

today, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
