AYSO Region 97: Breakers win Area Q league title

The Newport Beach Breakers, the girls-under-10 Progressive Plus

team from AYSO Region 97, won the Area Q League championship last

weekend, posting a season record of 8-2-1.

The Breakers are anchored defensively by the goalkeeping team of Amy

Snyder and Stephanie Nealy with defender support from Maggie Bernay,

Kelly Heenan, Katie Storch and Meghan McMahon.

The midfield was controlled by Alice Cope in the middle and Shannon

Rohan, Lauren DeVoy and Kori Erhorn on the outside.

The offense, which outscored the opposition 36-7 this year, was led by

Sara Gomez and Erin Miller.
