There’s still time to donate perishable and staple goods to Newport
Dunes Resort’s food drive.
All donations will be given to Friends in Service to Humanity, a
Newport Beach-based nonprofit organizations that helps families in need.
Residents may bring donations to the resort’s administrative offices
or the Back Bay Cafe.
“Surprisingly enough, there are those in Newport Beach and its
surrounding areas who, for a variety of reasons, are homeless and could
use a helping hand,” said Andrew Theodorou, the resort’s general manager.
“It is important in this time of prosperity that we stop to remember the
true spirit of the season and give what we can to help those less
fortunate, so that they too can enjoy the holidays.”
Donations will be accepted until noon Friday, when Friends in Service
to Humanity workers will distribute the goods to people in need.
The resort is at 1131 Back Bay Drive. Information: (949) 765-7661.
