Newport Beach Animal Control will hold its annual low-cost rabies

clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Rabies shots for both dogs and cats are available at $3.50 each. Other

types of vaccinations will also be available.

Dogs must be restrained on a leash, and cats must be contained within

carriers. Animal owners should tell shelter staff that they have come for

the rabies clinic to get the discounted shots.

Dogs must have rabies vaccinations to be eligible for a dog license.

The clinic will take place at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter (Dover

Shores Pet Care Center) at 2075 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa.
