Women’s basketball: Lions hammer Patten

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University women’s basketball team made
it two whopper wins in a row, defeating visiting Patten College, 112-55,
Saturday night at the Pit.
Laura Lee led six Lions’ players in double digits with 19 points,
while Beth Weidler chipped in with 18.
Courtney McKinney had a career-high 14 points and 11 rebounds for the
Lions (2-0), ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, as they shot 58% from the field
en route to the blowout.
LaTyia Williams had 20 points for Patten (0-2).
