10:07 a.m. Wednesday.

* Newport Boulevard: Prostitution was reported in the 2500 block at

8:40 p.m. Wednesday.

* Smalley Road: Vandalism was reported in the 3400 block at 1:28 p.m.

Wednesday.

* West 17th Street: An auto theft was reported in the 1000 block at

2:50 p.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* North Bayfront Avenue: Decorations were stolen from a patio of a

home in the 1400 block at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.

* Carnation Avenue: Jewelry worth $40,000 was stolen from a bathroom

cabinet in the 600 block at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

* Iris Avenue: Vandals poured gravel into the main drain of a home in

the 600 block at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday.

* Marguerite Avenue: A stereo was stolen from a car in the 1700 block

at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday.
