AYSO Region 57: Chick Magnets blank Blue Devils
The Chick Magnets defeated the Blue Devils, 3-0, in AYSO Region 57
boys under 12 action Saturday.
Patrick Suozzi scored all three goals on assists by Taylor Otto,
Austin Harms and Colton Dillion.
Daniel Kernan and Geoff Machin also sparked the Chick Magnets’ offense
with crisp passes.
On defense, Magnets’ goalkeeper Nick Taylor delivered a shutout with
numerous saves. He was helped on defense by the strong play of Michael
Page, Taylor Stone, Tom Hutchinson and Jeremy Hyter.
In other boys under 12 action:
Silver Baboons 2, The Wedge 2 - Tyler Case’s goal, off a direct kick
from Charlie Albright with four minutes remaining, helped the Silver
Baboons to a tie with The Wedge.
Albright also set up the first goal for the Baboons. He sent a corner
kick to George Logan, who sent the ball into the back of the net.
Defensively, the Baboons were led by Dean Pospisil, Andrew Martinez,
Evan Livadas, Aman Sehni, Conner Corrigan and Sam Nadlman.
Red Devils 2, White Tigers 2 - The Red Devils hold on to their
unbeaten record when Thomas Dialynas scored with four minutes remaining
to tie the game.
Max Rollins was strong in goal for the Devils, while the defense was
led by Ramin Axhir, Taylor Henderson, Morgan Brombel and Spenser Singh.
For the White Tigers, Steven Hillgren and Sean Ryan each scored goals,
while the midfield play was led by Morgan Bowman, Chris Converse and
Robbie Ogorek.
Red Raiders 3, Funky Monkeys 2 - Andy Rovzar scored two goals to spark
the Red Raiders over the Funky Monkeys.
The goals were set up by strong passing from Stuart Hagestad and Grant
Heffernan.
After the Monkeys tied the game, the Raiders regained the lead on a
goal from Nick Freeman.
Jack Lansford stopped numerous shots in goal for the Raiders, while
Francis Krahe, Ryan Hultman, Russell Goldberg and Casey Adamczyc anchored
the defense.
In boys under 8 action:
In the Fireballs’ contest with the Killer Whales, Matthew Burt scored
the team’s lone goal while Jack Gorab, Matt Larson and Kevin Kitzens each
played well in goal.
Tough defensive play was turned in by Anthony Daboub, John Swigert and
Gianni Multari, while Logan Burkhead and Nick Molinaro anchored the
midfield for the Fireballs.
In the Red Bombers’ game with the Firebolts, Ford Hanour scored off an
assist from Blake Thompson. Sammy Witte and Sandon Griffin also made
offensive contributions.
In the Purple Killer Whales’ game against the Blue Blizzard, Michael
Haeri, William Ayoub and Misha Pakbasa each scored goals off the passing
from Patrick Pearson, Patrick Malanga, Brandon Rus and Nic Hummel.
Michael Dahl and Mitchell Meleski were strong in goal for the Killer
Whales.
For the Blue Blizzard, Clark Cashion and Eric Hallett played well
defensively, while Nick Manning, Zach Morabito and Jeffrey Dyess each
played solid all-around games.
In the Green Devil Rays’ contest with the the Fireballs, Eric Zamucen
scored two goals, while Brandon Zelner, Kent Smith and Billy MacDonald
each added one goal.
Assists for the Devil Rays came from Connor Canale, Alex Matar and
Pete Rigas, while Tanner Grandstaff played well in goal.
In the Blue Blizzard’s game with the Blue Eagles, Michael Hassman
scored three goals, while Dylan Pievac added two.
Jason Johl and Mike Pawell also scored for the Blizzard, while Keyan
Jalali, Max Carpenter, Darren Hardy and Maxwell Muchlaser sparked the
defense.
