Several Cisco Academy networking students from Coastline Community
College were selected to work alongside Cisco engineers to experience the
planning, design and installation of a computer network for the
Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.
The college also received $35,000 in technology equipment. In
addition, Cisco had a professionally produced video of the students’
involvement made on the spot and showed it on the floor of the
convention.
Coastline Community College has one of the largest Cisco Academies in
the world. During November, Coastline will launch a more advanced program
that will offer certification as a Cisco certified network professional.
