Corum among Costa Mesa junior satellite tournament winners

COSTA MESA - Charlie Corum of Costa Mesa defeated Parker Kelley of

Manhattan Beach, 6-0, 6-2, in the boys 8-year-old division finals Sunday

in the 13th annual Costa Mesa Junior Satellite Tournament at the Costa

Mesa Tennis Center.

In the boys 14s, Corona del Mar’s Nicholas Gingold knocked off Andrew

Nguyen of Fountain Valley, 6-1, 6-0, for the championship.

Costa Mesa’s Karina Van Lenven won the girls 12s title with a 6-4, 6-4

victory over Stephanie Langer (Irvine).

In the boys 12s, Newport Beach’s John Hutchinson advanced to the

finals, winning four rounds before losing to Victorville’s Joe Madon,

7-5, 2-6, 6-2.
