The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree if
desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot
entree. School lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or chicken nuggets with sweet
and sour sauce, oven-baked potatoes with catsup, choice of fruit or
juice, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or French bread pepperoni pizza, crisp green
salad with low-fat dressing, wild berry juice, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken tostada salad on corn tortilla with
lettuce, cheese and salsa, choice of fruit, choice of milk
FRIDAY
No school -- Veterans Day
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or “State Fair” corn dog with green beans,
choice of fruit or apple juice, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
