The Corona del Mar High girls volleyball team could get a chunk of

the Pacific Coast League title with a win over visiting Costa Mesa

tonight at 6 p.m.

That chunk could become the entire league title if Laguna Beach should

happen to lose to Northwood, or that chunk disappear if the Mustangs

should pull off the upset.

The Sea Kings (14-8, 8-1 in league), ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern

Section Division III-AA, knocked off University on the road, 15-11,

15-11, 15-4, on Tuesday.

In the win over the Trojans, Sara Deming led the Sea Kings with 15

kills, Lindsay Anstandig added 14 kills and Lauren Nelson added five ace

serves in what Coach Steve Conti described as, “... one of our better

team performances.”
