OC volleyball club tryouts coming

The Orange County Volleyball Club will hold tryouts for high school

freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors on Sunday and the following

Sunday, Nov. 19 at Newport Harbor High girls’ gymnasium (600 Irvine

Blvd.).

Players interested may try out on either date, team registration will

be on Nov. 20. All athletes must arrive 15 minutes early for the tryout

registration. The cost is $5 per player, no checks.

Tryout times for both dates are as follows: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. -- high

school freshman. 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. -- high school sophomores. 12 p.m. to

2 p.m. -- high school juniors and seniors.

All high school players who are still playing for their high school

teams in the CIF and state playoffs, must arrive to register and stay

until the end of the tryout, but will not be allowed to participate.
