SCHOOL LUNCH MENU

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers three menu choices
each day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree
if desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. School lunches are $1.75 each; the district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with fruit yogurt or chicken nuggets with
catsup, veggie sticks with low-fat dip, choice of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or sourdough French bread cheese pizza, green
salad with low-fat dressing, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or turkey and cheese sandwich or “State Fair”
corn dog, oven-baked potatoes with catsup, choice of fruit, choice of
milk, frozen 100% juice bar
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or macaroni and cheese, salad with low-fat
dressing, choice of fruit, choice of milk, Patty’s cake
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
