Girls tennis: Newport gets doubled up by Los Alamitos

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor High girls tennis team lost to

visiting Los Alamitos, 12-6, in nonleague action Tuesday afternoon.

The Sailors’ No. 1 doubles team of junior Megan Hawkins and sophomore

Krista McIntosh swept their doubles matches, while the freshmen tandem of

A.J. Olson and Bonnie Adams won two sets.

Next up for the Sailors (2-2) is a road matchup against juggernaut

Peninsula Tuesday at 2 p.m.
