School lunch menus
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers three menu choices
each day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree
if desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets, oven baked potatoes with
ketchup, a fresh baked roll, choice of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or two crispy beef tacos with shredded lettuce,
cheese and salsa, choice of fruit, choice of milk
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or peanut butter-and-jelly sandwich or rib-b-que
on a bun, corn, choice of fruit or 100% fruit juice, fresh baked cookie,
choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or bean-and-cheese burrito, crisp green salad
with ranch dressing, choice of fruit, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Dannon Fruit Yogurt or French bread cheese
pizza, crispy green salad with low-fat dressing, choice of fruit or 100%
fruit juice, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey roasted peanuts and dressing.
Elementary school lunches are $1.75 each. The district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50.
