Boys and girls in third through sixth grades can now register for

Newport Beach Community Services’ Youth Flag Football.

The league will play at Anderson, Harbor View, Lincoln, Mariners,

Newport Elementary and Newport Heights elementary schools, and at

Eastbluff Boys & Girls Club.

The registration fee is $40 for Newport Beach residents and $45 for

nonresidents. A T-shirt jersey is included in the cost.

The program features weekday afternoon practices at Newport Beach

elementary schools beginning Sept. 7. One-hour games will be on Fridays

or Saturdays at Bonita Creek Park beginning Sept. 22.

To preregister, visit Newport Beach Community Services at Newport

Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd. On-site registration will be held

Sept. 7 at Newport Beach elementary schools from school dismissal time

until 4 p.m.
