Trader Joe’s is one of the best markets to find bargains on
top-quality groceries. The store stands behind its products, it’s so
selective in what products it will carry. A team of tasters selects items
for the store to make sure they meet their high standards of taste and
quality. Unlike most markets, Trader Joe’s doesn’t have weekend specials.
Bargain prices are offered every day. New items arrive daily and many are
sold so quickly that Trader Joe’s doesn’t have time to advertise them.
It’s also the best place to find bargains on flowers and seasonal plants.
Inside the store, you’ll find deli items, beverages, vitamins, wines,
organic foods, produce, frozen desserts, fish, meats and meals, dried
fruits, cheeses, breads, energy bars, and snacks. There is also a
wonderful chef almost always in the store, Mila Graves, who cooks simple
recipes using Trader Joe’s ingredients. Graves is more than happy to hand
out her recipes, and does cooking for small parties. Trader Joe’s is at
640 W. 17th St. in Costa Mesa. Information: (949) 642-5134.
South Coast Plaza always has new store openings and store expansions,

Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s at 695 Town Center Drive
in Costa Mesa. Information: (714) 427-0541.

necessary to enter the contest. The Laura Ashley store is in the Crate &
