Harer, Frey lead Devils, 7-0

Goalie Paul Harer stopped 10 shot attempts in the opening period

and went on to finish the match with 20 saves overall, to lead the Devils

in a 7-0 shutout of the Lightning in Patrick Division weekend play at

Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

With Harer playing tough in the net, the Devils’ offense was run by

Adam Frey, who scored a match-high five goals, including the game’s first

four.

Tanner Marsey and Corey Ochoa also scored for the Devils, and Ochoa,

along with teammatesJustin Hernandez, Michael Zike, and Tony Derleth,

also had an assist.

Despite suffering the loss, Lightning goalie Kevin McMahon recorded 29

saves.

Rockers 10, Chiefs 4

Brett Stoughton and Weston Bales both matched three goals with three

assists, Harry Graves scored three goals and had one assist, and goalie

Joshua Jaeger stopped 25 shot attempts, to pace the Rockers; Ryan Layden

scored twice, Andrew Lynn scored once with an assist, Jorden Zarders

scored once, and goalie Greg Earl had 15 saves for the Chiefs.

Thrashers 6, Hot Shots 4

Neil Byford scored three goals, Colby Kasubuchi scored once with an

assist, Stephen Powers and Traves Smith both scored once, Brett Raburn

and Brandon Davis each had two assists, and goalie Matt Thomas had 16

saves to power the Thrashers.

Kevin Tanaka scored two goals, Danny Cano had a pair of assists, Kyle

Brown and Derek Belisle both scored once, and goalie Chaz Grant recorded

22 saves for the Hot Shots.
