Youth Tennis League offered
The American Youth Tennis League, a program sponsored by the
American Youth Tennis Foundation, will hold its final program Aug. 14-18
at Fountain Valley High.
The program is open to beginners ages 12 and under, who want to
develop a fitness skill for life. Participants learn the basic tennis
fundamentals though target games and matches.
The cost of the five day program, which consists of five, 90-minute
sessions, team T-shirt, and team awards, is $75 per player.
More than 250,000 players began tennis careers in these leagues,
including the world’s No. 1 player, Lindsey Davenport, as well as three
NCAA champions.
Huntington Beach High assistant tennis coach Charlie Rigdon will head
the tennis league.
