FOUNTAIN VALLEY -- The incumbents for seats on the City Council and
Fountain Valley School District board plan to fight for their positions
in the fall.
Two seats will be available on the council in November, with
Councilmen Larry Crandall and Chuck Conlosh up for reelection. Both seats
are for four-year terms.
Both men have said they plan to run again for office. Three other
residents -- Doug Henry, Mark McCurdy and John Briscoe -- have also
indicated their council interest by pulling candidacy papers at the city
clerk’s office.
Incumbents Julie Hoxsie and Joanne Lew have said they both plan to run
for another term on the school board. No one else has pulled papers yet
for those seats.
Candidates have until Aug. 11 to submit their declaration for
candidacy.
